Lang Son strives to become a province with modern industrial development by 2030

With a prime geographical location, located in the Trans-Asia economic corridor, border with China, next to the country's key economic triangle such as: Hanoi - Hai Phong - Quang Ninh, Lang Son is expected to become one of the growth poles, the economic center of the midland and mountainous region of the North by 2030.

Development potential of Lang Son province

With a border of over 231km, 2 international border gates, 1 main border gate and 9 secondary border gates, and a convenient transportation system, Lang Son is a major transit gateway for goods from the whole country and ASEAN countries to the Chinese market and vice versa.

From May 27, 2024, Vietnam and China have officially operated customs clearance routes and specialized roads at the Huu Nghi - Huu Nghi Quan international border gate pair, thereby increasing the efficiency of customs clearance of import and export goods through the area, basically completely converting from border trade transactions to official trade.

With the advantage of border trade development, Lang Son border gate economy has had steady growth steps with the total import and export turnover through the area reaching 17,851.9 million USD in the first quarter of 2025, an increase of 24% over the same period last year. Regarding budget collection, in the first quarter, Lang Son province collected an estimated total state budget revenue of nearly VND 2,700 billion, an increase of 24.8% over the same period.

Lang Son aims to develop modern industry by 2030

According to Resolution No. 45-NQ/TU dated September 1, 2021 on industrial development for the period 2021-2025, with a vision to 2030. The goal is that by 2030, Lang Son will basically become a modern industrial province, a driving force for economic growth. By 2025, the province will complete the infrastructure of at least 1 industrial park, 3-4 industrial clusters with an occupancy rate of over 30%. By 2030, continue to attract investment, each district will have at least 1 industrial cluster in operation, with an occupancy rate of over 50%.

In the first quarter of 2025, Lang Son will continue to deploy and complete the planning system in the border gate and border areas to implement the pilot project to build a smart border gate on the dedicated freight transport road in the area of ​​landmarks 1119 - 1120 and the dedicated freight transport road in the area of ​​landmarks 1088/2 - 1089 in the Huu Nghi (Vietnam) - Huu Nghi Quan (China) international border gate pair to promote international trade.

By 2030, Lang Son province strives to have an economic scale and GRDP per capita of about 150 million VND, in the group of 05 leading provinces in the Northern Midlands and Mountains. With the Service sector accounting for 50-51%, Industry-construction accounting for 32-33%, and Agriculture, forestry and fishery accounting for 12-13%.

Objectives of Ho Son 1 Industrial Cluster

The objective of Ho Son 1 Industrial Cluster Project is to invest in synchronous technical infrastructure of the industrial cluster according to construction standards and regulations, meeting the conditions for wastewater and industrial waste treatment; business, leasing technical infrastructure, subleasing land use rights, creating a land fund with complete technical infrastructure, attracting domestic and foreign investors, opening up job opportunities for local people, thereby contributing to building Lang Son province to develop sustainably towards the most modern industrial center in the country by 2030.

As one of the first and new Industrial Clusters in Huu Lung district, Lang Son province, built according to green - clean and environmentally friendly criteria, Gia Dinh Group always focuses on designing to integrate smart technology, from the use of renewable energy, water, waste treatment, to traffic management and security, to bring safety, reliability and efficiency to customers and workers.

All factories at Ho Son 1 Industrial Cluster will be given priority to install the entire rooftop solar system to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, contributing to promoting green and sustainable industry.
